Comings and goings
Big little sister arrived and has since departed with two of her brood. A wonderful time was had by all, but it coincided with the hottest weather so far this year. 25-26 degress and sunny. We had lots of adventures (including swimming in a very cold lake - it'll take a while to heat up!). We saw the sights, did the market, played in the playground and the back garden, the kids moved into their playhouse, feeling it neccesary to move every last thing possible from the bedroom to the playhouse, so there was no room to move!!! It's really great that they can just walk in and out, and we don't have to worry where they are, or what they're up to. The back garden is nicely enclosed, and they obey the 'rules' as to what can and can't be done. I'm off to Hyvinkää tomorrow to play the runolaulu messu , and come back via Jyväskylä, where I'm organist at a funeral. Then Jyväskylä for a final rehearsal before Ireland on Tuesday, Helsinki for a department chamber choir concert on Thursday, and off to Ireland on Friday. Is it a bit like waiting for a bus - none for ages...? As big little sis discovered, it's a long way to Tipperary, but even further from the south of Ireland to the middle of Finland!
